I'm trying to write a book, I have quite a few chapters done, I'm wondering what should be my next step...how would I shop for a publisher?

you can get a book published by finding some one to read it and have them proof it and see if they like it then you give it to your family and ask them what they think about it and then you have to take your book to a publishing company and ask them to look at it and get back with you on it.

cool! I'm almost done my book too! I am just starting to look into that kind of thing. check out the bookstore, there are tons of books on how to publish!

Many publishers wont look at you unless you have an agent. So, try to find an agent. I think that you can find writer's market guides at the library that have suggestions on agents.
