It is true that Jesus founded one church , however our denomination are not a church in re-guard to Jesus founding , they are the discipline as to how the Jesus is to function. It like saying Ford and Chevrolet are all cars, but there one thing a little different and unique that does not violated God law , that the people Join together with , but the church is in every individual.God is the head of Jesus and Jesus is a head of every man and man is the head of every woman, this is God natural law. So long the denomination are not against the doctrine of Jesus then they are okay. However when the denomination change the word of God , then they are in violation of God Law.

Your question refers to the Holy Christian Church which is the church of true believers. Only God can God read a persons heart to know if they have true faith. Beleivers will be found everywhere the Gospel is preached. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus lived the perfect life, was punished for our sins, died, and rose again in victory of sin, death, and the Devil. When you pick a church to go to, it should be one that teaches the truths of God's Word in its truth and purity without adding or sibtracting to it. I am a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and am very happy with the doctrine taught there. I read scripture regularly on my own and can honestly say they are not adding or subtracting.

The passage you mention refers to the visible church, like the one that you go to or the one that I go to.

Lord's blessings on you studies.

1. Matt 18:16 tells us that we are to have two or more witnesses. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 tells us that all scripture is given by inspiration of God. Man is a false God; and has been since before leaving the Garden of Eden. I believe the page that defines the old testament (which was abolished/done away; Hebrews) is an addition to scriptures. The scriptural old testament is the law of Moses; witnesses Joshua, Nehemiah, David, Solomon, Malachi, Jesus, God the Father, Paul. The law of Moses is referred to as the 'oldb testament' (KJV) in 2 Cor. 3:13-14.

The church Jesus Christ founded ceased to exist after the persecution of the first century. That was how the Dark ages started and how they got the name of the dark ages. He has brought back his church to earth. Look up all the necessary requirements and you will find a church on earth that has all these things.

The answer is simple. The one and only Church founded by Christ is the church whose bishops stand in broken succession to the Apostles and teach the very same things that the Apostles taught. That church is the Orthodox Church, the only true church, Christ's Church.

All Christian churches have the same basic values at the core. I feel that the church one feels most comfortable at is the one that the bible is telling us to go to. Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopalian, Orthodox, Baptist, Methodist, etc. None of it really matters in the eyes of God. We all worship in our own way and nobody is more right or wrong than anybody else.

The only certain church in this life is the IRS.

God is saying if your friend won't pay his taxes, report him to the IRS. At the end, he means report him to the IRS or the nearest tax collector. I know it seems a little confusing but trust me.

There are only two sure things in life, death and taxes.

Since Jesus supposedly treated Gentiles and tax collectors pretty well, maybe you should examine your interpretation of this passage.
