If a Visa is type B1/B2 what does that mean?

I put this under Atlanta Georgia because I couldn't find a place for generic travel questions. Also, the person is going to fly into the Atlanta airport when they arrive in the US.

B1 is a temporary visa for people who are doing business in the USA; B2 is a temporary visa for people who are in the USA on pleasure/vacation.
