I'm getting a dog soon, and I was thinking of buying a few agility jumps and tunnels and trying agility training. Oh I just saw the word "pug" - I guess they would have to be small jumps! :)

Would he enjoy swimming in a small wading pool?

Pugs don't really need too much exercise. Mine loves to play hide-and-seek in the house. I will go and hide and then call his name. He then searches the rooms and tries to find me. My pug also loves to play ball in the house. I will roll his ball down the hallway and he brings it back. Or I will chase him around to get him some exercise.

Don't try to do too much with your pug outside in the summer, especially if it is hot. Otherwise, they will get overheated and have trouble breathing. Just try to do some activities inside an air conditioned house.

Most dogs love this. Take them swimming. Go buy them a cheap plastic pool. Wal-mart has them for under $20. Fill it up and let him play. Make sure the water is high enough to where he can walk or swim if he choses. Play wiht him and stay cool yourself.

If you have a long hall way and he likes to play fetch...just use your hall to give him some exercise!! You'll both be in the A/C!!
