People say that they don't endorse pedophilia but for years there
was not punishment for it. They would just move them to another church and let them start over with fresh meat. (If that's not an endorsement I don't know what is)
Had they been fired sent to jail and were made to pay the price of other criminals then I would not say that.
Sexual repression!
I'm still trying to figure out why they can't have significant others.
The way I feel about it is they keep the nasty pedophiles around and Jesus was hung for less.
I know it is up to god to forgive and thou shalt not judge and all of that but It all seem a little hypocritical to me.
If it was my child they would not have to call the police, I would.
Not to mention I would wait out behind the church for service to be over and I'd Whack em' across the head with a bat. I'm not a violent person but when it comes to people messing with kids, that's the lowest of the low.
Supposedly the church is a place to teach you and guide you in the ways of the lord, But it seems to me that it has messed up a lot of children's lives and thats fowl. Not only the ones who do it but also the ones who find out about it and participate in the relocation of the molester. So if the Pope is informed and his decision is to play musical molesters and change the molester where abouts and still employ him the the pope is fowl too.

You are being obnoxious, but I'll give a serious answer anyway. The Bible says that there are some people born with the "gift of celibacy" but that most people should marry. The Catholic church has erred, I believe, in demanding celibacy from men who do not have that gift and should have probably married and thereby avoided other temptation. Why have there been so many cases with boys rather than girls? Maybe that has something to do with proximity and availability.

Pedophilia is no more universal among Catholics or Catholic priests than it is limited to priests.
The Roman Catholic Church's handling of the problem was shameful and immoral, but hopefully the Vatican and the various regional leaders have learned from their mistakes.

I use to be a Catholic in the old sence of the religion. I left it partly on the part of sad, sad, priest and their 'pedophilia'. While I was not molested two friends of mine were. These two friends suffered greatly from these terrible acts one was very bitter till the day he died of A.I.D.S I was there for him as best as I could be. He again re-iterated his hate for the priest who molested him. What he did not re-iterate were the many bad choices he made for himself throught his life. Drugs, criminal activity including violence, promiscous sexual behavior both hertosual and homosexual. He wanted God to understand him completely but never spent much time talking to God. He was a talented artist but never truly persued it, sex and self indulgence where his main drive. He was a 'taker' and not a 'giver'. He tried everything that felt good but never cultivated a spiritual relationship with God. My point...who is to blame? God, the Catholic church, we his generation and peers or was he to blame?.
Your sarcastic question is LOADED with pre-determined assumptions of guilt for the Catholic church. While I no longer practise my faith as a catholic I do practise it as a christian and feel compeled to 'enlighten you' in a small way.
You are in no position to judge anyone...especially a religious cult that has accomplished a lot of good during their lifetime. A lot of good which you will NEVER be able to accomplish in your earthly stay. 'Judge not less yee be judged'...from the teachings of JC.

They are just weird hypocrites that feel a woman is a sin to have relations with so they have it with boys thinking they wont tell because they probably threaten them. When I was growing up I remember stories of nuns becoming pregnant and they would kill themselves to hide the fact that they had sex with the priest.I don't care what Religion you are , what man can abstain from sex , it's what they are intended for to pro create ! Plus they get horny and then they start to get weird because it makes them go nuts without it.

Unfortunately, a lot of young men who were finding out they were gay, went into the priesthood to hide from society. Society didn't accept gay people as well as it does now. But many honestly tried to mask their homosexual feelings by vowing to stay celebate. Unfortunately, many were not able to control themselves and their urges.
NO, the Catholic religion does not endorse pedaphilia.

Don't be an ignorant retard. Catholics don't teach it and we sure as hell don't promote it. I personally think that all pedophiles working in a church should be excommunicated permanently. I don't know what's wrong with the Vatican these days.

celibacy sucks, if they let them have normal relationships they wouldn't resort to diddling little boys.
