I would pick the word realize.... That person will for sure want to hear you say your Sorry, but they also more importantly want to hear you say that you realize why your apologizing. An apology is more accepting when you say why your sorry. And it shows what a remorseful, understanding and caring person you are.

Azazeal, I was in this position just recently. I had jumped to a conclusion that was neither fair nor correct about my b.f.'s ex wife. When I realized I was wrong, I had to go to him and tell him that I had made a mistake and owed him an apology. He is a horse of a different color anyway and was immediately accepting and said he could understand how I came to the conclusion that I did, and my apology was accepted. This isn't the first time I have had to offer up an apology for being wrong or for wronging someone. I hope this helps. Understand, the person may not be able to easily accept your humble apology at first. They will however, respect you for admitting that you were wrong and at least acknowledging that you see the err of your ways and usually that lessens the animosity. Best of luck Azazeal. I hope this has helped. Nana

Sorry has to be the word but then ... I don't often use the word! I prefer to buy a box of chocolates, bring it to the person i wronged with a card and write "A token of my love to say OK i pooped - Won't do it again" - It works everytimne and avoids pronouncing the S word!!!!

Just follow what comes through your heart,If you are truly sorry then state that and stand up and never make the same mistake over again that's what life is all about admitting as well as learning from our mistakes!
