I am doing a party for a bride who is a bit of a wallflower and doesn't like any fuss over her. I want to do something fun but tasteful for her bachelorette.

The bride is not very cooperative and says she doesn't need a party but as it is a small wedding and so many others cannot make it to the wedding I want to do something to include all her friends.

I too think everyone had good advice for you.
You could ask the bride, maybe she has an idea.

I myself am kinda chill and not too into the huge hoopla, and I feel like I want to just rent a bungalow in town and have a girls sleepover with s'mores and pedicures and wine or something. Maybe hang out by the pool. Nothing that will cost any of my girlfriends too much money but that would still be super fun.

How about a Spa day w/ the Mom's, MOH & Bridesmaids. Each pay a little extra so the Bride can get services for free. :-) All around, you'll be amazed at the awesome packages most Salons can cook up for ya! Good luck!

After you could always shake a tail feather & drink if that tickles your fancy:-) To eachs own:-)

My sister in law was recently married, she loves Mexican food, so they had a bachelorette party at a Mexican restuarant for her, with her closest female friends and family members. It was a lot of fun...afterwards they went out to a few bars in the area for drinks..it's simple and only involved the people closest to her.

all these girls had good ideas, especially the spa day.

i know this is "against" tradition, but maybe you should talk to her about it, see what she wants to do.

i also don't know where you are at to make another suggestion.....

btw, i'm MoH in a wedding this fall, and the bride herself is sort of a wallflower, and i thought she would want a low-key bachlorette, but when we talked about it, i found out she wants an all-out, get super drunk bachlorette..... she wants to get wild one last time and have that typical bachlorette.... so goes to show you, you don't know if you don't ask.

My sister did a couples shower and wanted to stay safe too - she did a No place like home theme and the gifts were centered around couples items for home -

I used ruby slippers as the theme - made a ruby slipper cake and ruby slipper invites -

It was pretty neat

Maybe a tea room or something for a light lunch.
