eating destroyed dna doesn't affect your health. Cooking or drying any food destroys the DNA no matter what process you use (ovens, microwaves, steam, the sun). DNA is a little chemical structure that can be destroyed easily by many things.

But what you seem to be suggesting is that eating DNA somehow affects your own DNA. This is incorrect. all living things have DNA and if eating 'damaged DNA' affected us, then why wouldn't eating nondamaged DNA? We wouldn't be able to eat anything except humans in fear of being affected by DNA from plants and animals.... furthermore everyones DNA is different, so we'd only be able to eat ourselves.

You don't absorb DNA by eating food, so this isn't a real issue. Heating food by any means breaks down some of the cellular structure and all microwaves do is increase the amount of energy in the water molecules in the food. You heat things via fire and it does the same thing as the water in the food does in the microwave - heats it and cooks it.

Best advice is to look up basic chemistry and cooking and learn a bit of the science of cooking. There is nothing wrong with heating food in a microwave - I use a stove because the texture of the food is better, but there are times when it doesn't matter and the microwave is faster (and doesn't heat the kitchen in the summer).

Whether stovetop, oven, or microwave..cooking your food decreases the minerals and vitamins you will recieve. All food is better if you can eat it in its whole raw state. Of course, we are better off to cook our meats and lose some minerals rather than to risk more serious complications. No, it doenst destroy your health by using a microwave. The only way it would is if it were missing that protective layer inside that contains the waves within the unit. We are surrounded by radiowaves every day all day long.

hi, None, for on the spot cooking i take advantage of a rigidity cooker. in accordance to the international's acceptable cooks a microwave oven is only good for 2 issues: a million) Thawing out frozen products once you're in a hurry to apply them. 2) Re-heating left overs. I heard that years in the past and under no circumstances used a microwave to cook dinner dinners again. Cheers, Michael Kelly

microwaves giveoff a lot of radiation. And if your exposed to enough of it it could kill you. yes. So you can use a microwave just don't use it to cook all your meals. if you get a tv dinner your better off puting the food on a pan and putting it in the oven or toaster oven. Or just cook your own food. It's not hard. I've been cooking since i was 9.

I don't think eating food with destroyed DNA would do much damage, the only thing you are advised to do, is standing clear from the microwave when it's working, about 2 metres (6 feet)

I doubt DNA can be destroyed by microwaves and also your own DNA isn't being destroyed either because you're not microwaving yourself.
