I did both too. Had no milk the first time due to uncontrolled high bloodpressure and emergency c-section, the second time the bloodpressure was controlled and I was able to breast feed and did for 9 months. There are good stuff with both, I say do what suits you, it's your intention that counts, but breast feeding is my choice, even with mastitis at 3 weeks I continued breast feeding on one breast--I was adamant it was going to work--she never took to the bottle and went straight to beaker instead.

Both with my first. But bottle fed with pumped breast milk. Soley breastfed my 2nd and 3rd for one year each as I was at home full time. It was easier, cheaper and I know they got some great benefits. I did too- lost weight quickly and enjoyed being a little fuller. It also helps protect you against breast CA. However with my last two I wasn't able to get away as much because they decided not to take a bottle at all! So we started juice from a sippy cup at 5 mos. And it was only a short part of my life when I look back at it now. And so rewarding and worth it if you can make it work for you!

I breastfed all three of my children. When I went to work (part-time) Dad would feed them a bottle of breast milk. As they got to be about 6 months I couldn't produce enough for them so they went to formula. I have 3 healthy, happy, normal children.

Although, having my children close together w/ breastfeeding, I was a 36C and now I wear a 34B. The price you pay for your children.

At first I breastfed then I started to do both when it is was time to go back to work. As I went to work, I didn't get as much milk flow but I still tried to breastfeed as much as possible until my daughter was a wk before her 10 month bday.

I wanted to breastfeed both of mine. I tried for a few days with my son but he lost about a pound and I freaked out and put him on formula. I tried for 3 weeks with my daughter and she lost over a pound and wasn't gaining weight back and she was trying to nurse all night and was never satisfied so I gave up on and gave her formula too. I was pretty upset about not being able to nurse my babies until I read an article about a mom who went through the exact same thing and at the end she said she wanted to give her babies what they really needed, which was a happy mom. That made me feel a lot better.

I'm planning on breastfeeding. Might switch to bottle feeding if I get the new job I'm going for after my bay's born.
