I'm a purist when it comes to hamburgers...I like my hamburger to taste like hamburger, not soup mix, worcestershire sauce, bread crumbs, etc. I like ground chuck, good shaped patty...not too large, not too small, nice and thick, seasoned with salt and pepper and grilled. When it's done, top it with a nice, thick slice of sharp cheddar and serve on a toasted bun.
Although, I have had an awesome burger that was filled with blue cheese. You take your ground beef and mix it with honey, tabasco sauce, crushed red pepper flakes and a few other items (can't remember what they are...cook book is at home!) and put a piece of blue cheese in the center and fold it over so that when you grill it, the blue cheese gets soft and gooey in the middle of the burger. I don't make these very often...just every once in a while for a treat. If you want the recipe, I'll be happy to copy it for you and email it to you tomorrow. Just send me a message. :)

Ooooo, I make the best hamburgers
In the beef put 1 egg/ crumbled crackers or breadcrumbs/ a pack onion soup mix (to a family sized amount of beef)/and a bit of celerysalt K.
Besides all the condiments make sure you have cheese slices (if not melted already on the burger) and lettuce and tomatoes and sliced dills....yum
I like to also have (if i'm cooking for people) some sauted mushrooms and carmelized onions and some bacon. That way people can build their burger with what they want

Chop a bunch of onion, McCormick steak seasoning and add to ground buger. Let sit over night before cooking, it really adds to the flavor
Top with Carmelized onions, homemade super chunkey bleu cheese sauce and bacon with an onion roll
Add A-1 sauce before cooking
Mayo and French dressing makes a great sauce to top a burger with

personally I would use lean ground beef and add onion soup base it makes the homemade burgers tender and gives it a good flavour first off.

fry it in a frying pan, put a slice of cheese (kraft), three pieces of bacon, mustard, a little ketchup, hot peppers, and a little onion. I prefer to use beef burgers, they taste so yummy!
