Wheatgrass. Hands down!

Wheatgrass is considered to be a complete food in itself. The fact is that one pound of fresh wheatgrass is equivalent in nutritional value to 23 pounds of choice garden vegetables. Due to its fibrous nature, which is indigestible by humans, wheatgrass must be liquefied before it can be consumed.

Consumer Reports did a study about 20 years ago in which they fed rats only cereal for 14-18 weeks. The rats that thrived on the cereal-only diet were the ones who were given Cheerios, Grape-Nuts, Shredded Wheat, Life, or, believe it or not, Lucky Charms (yum, marshmallowy goodness!).

The rats fed Corn Flakes, Product 19, and Quaker's 100% Natural granola ended up malnourished with stunted growth.

The first set of cereals are packed with all kinds of extra vitamins and minerals, as well as fiber, and definitely could keep you alive for quite a long time without any major health problems. The second set are a lot less fortified than the first set, which is what led to the malnutrition in the rats.

So, there's my vote for most nutritious food! Lucky Charms! :)

I heard yams are good, like if you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, yams are supposedly a good choice.
