it kinda depends on where you are at in your life. Like me, im still in college (third year in) but my fiance and I have a 2 yr old son together. We are getting married this august (been engaged for almost 2 years) and it was just right for us. Just do what feels right.

2 years is a long engagement. I've read that any engagement lasting more than 3 years you two will never get married.
You two should communicate, there are no rules about when you should or shouldn't when it feels right you will know. Are you two even in the process of planning the wedding? Has a date been set? Place for the wedding and reception picked out? Thats the kind of stuff people are supposed to do during the engagement period, not just sit it out until you're ready. Truth is if you weren't ready to be married in the first place you shouldn't have been engaged and if you ARE ready than why have you waited so long?

You should get married when the two of you agree on a date. You should have time to plan the wedding and be excited. I have been with my man for 9 years and engaged for 2 as well. We haven't decided a date yet either, but I have been married previously and you will know when the time is right.

Personally I'd wait until after college - but the only reason for that is that I would have gotten so stressed planning my wedding and going to classes and everything.

For you though, really it depends on your circumstances. If you think you can handle it, and you feel that it's right you should go ahead and get married now. As long as you've thought it through, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with getting married before you finish college. Good luck!

Whatever you think is right. If you think you could handle planning a wedding and going to college I say try for Summer of 2007; if you are no longer really wanting to wait and you are both ready. Otherwise I say wait til after college graduation. You might have better mindset and less stress. Congrats and good luck!

That really depends on your priorities. If financial securtiy is important, you should wait until after graduation, and obtaining a good solid job. If love is your priority, then by all means, get married now. Just remember, you will have to live with whatever decision you make.

The easiest way to decide when you should get married is to contact the place (church/mosque/park/community center) where you want to get married and find out how far in advanced they are booked. The most popular places for weddings book quickly and sometimes years in advance.

You might be waiting 2 years, regardless of your circumstances.

It depends on your priorities. I really wanted to start my marriage with no debt so I could focus on the marriage not having to take on extra jobs. So I started saving like crazy in my last year of university and got married one year after university! It was great. We paid off our wedding, univeristy, honeymoon, bought a house and got married!! It was a great way to start life with that feeling of accomplishment! Then tieing the knot with your soul mate just makes it sweeter!!!!

I think you should do it when you two feel the time is right. I got married as a senior in college. You will know when you want to say "I do". My advice is to talk to your fiance' about it and the two of you make a decison. I mean, if you want to do it now, do it.

After college that way if it doesn't work out you can support yourself. If it does work out you can have two incomes when it comes to saving for a house or other things you want.
