For me, it would be living in a world or universe that I controlled. In other words, I would play the role of God. I could add and edit landscapes and climates, create people and animals, select characteristics for them, know what everyone is thinking at any given time, be completely immune, have properties of a changeling, become invisible when I wanted to, travel from place to place at the speed of light, be able to time travel, have the ability to resurrect people who died on earth, and live eternally in my world. That would be my idea of a perfect afterlife world. :P

My idea, contrary to yours, involves God's sovereignty in a place He designed to reflect His own glory and love. This is a far more wonderful place than either you or I could imagine on our own.

Hm. Real one is a bit different than your. No:) I have not been there yet. But explained some in Islam books.
The ones who truly believe in that Allah is unique who creates and kills will go there. That is it is not a child play.
Heaven is not demanded like you ask for a cup of tea. What you should do is to live as a good believer and be happy with what Allah gives you. Since Allah is the most mercy he may put you in the heaven.
Some good prospects of heaven.
There is no pain or fear of death. An endless life full of goods. You do not have the feeling of boring anymore that you always have fun of what you live.
There are rivers passing under you.
You live there with ones whom you love.
You live in houses made of jeweleries.
You have heaven creatues serve you.
You have every food, drink, etc. immediately you want.
You may live there with the Prophets.
You see the Allah (if you are a very very good believer).
There are some world creatures which are put in the heaven.
The bird who served for Hz. Suleyman (the richest prophet)
The body of a tree Mz. Muhammed sat on it and talked to people.
I cannot remember some others, sorry.

For me heaven is one of those things that people in charge made up to keep the masses from wanting more than they already had. Because we're supposed to get all these great things once we die if we are obedient in life. Historically one of the best ways to get to heaven was to die fighting a war for a so called God appointed king/queen.
I really think this is all we get and we really should try to do be the best we can be and do good things with our lives because once it's gone that's all we have time for.
For me our "souls" serve a much greater purpose, but that is another story.
Given your definition of heaven:
Ever read The Flux and Anchor serious by Jack L. Chalker (1985)
I think you might enjoy it. It's a fantasy novel serious about lots of people who have just those kinds of powers.

Being a muslim my idea of heaven is the same as described and mentioned clearly in The holy book Quran(The Noble Qur'an - Al-Ghaashiyah 88:10-16 )
.The Prophet Muhammed(May peace be upon him) said, "There is a tree in Paradise (which is so big and huge that) if a rider travels in its shade for one hundred years, he would not be able to cross it."
...the first meal of the people of Paradise will be Extra-lobe (caudate lobe) of fish-liver.
Muslims will also get the chance InshahAllah to see their Allah(GOD) almighty. It will be another paradise(better than above described from my point of view). But before thinking of paradise one should concentrate and implore how one will get paradise.Read Quran to get full idea of life and find what is right and what is wrong.May Allah give all of us the guidance for right path.

My dear are you making suggestions or you have a reference for your views. We are talking about God and after dearth and your answers must be guided by your religion and faith. Actually i believe in Christ and the prescriptions of life after dearth given by the holy bible. Heaven is described as peace-full and a place where suffering and pain will be inexistant. Yes mention is made in many chapters and verses even by the Lord Jesus christ that those who are nothing on earth and believe in the Father will become king. The question you should be asking yourself is, are my doing enough in my life to deserve heaven.?

No sin, I could be anwhere at the speed of thought. I could visit other worlds. The only thing in Heaven we won't be able to do is die, or create other life.

A place where I would learn all the secrets of the world. Where I could see my loved ones again. Where I could live comfortably FOREVER YOUNG.
And perfection...I would be broken no more.

Your idea is different than mine. I perceive Heaven as living in total peace and happiness. Being in the presence of God.

The main idea of heaven for Christianity that they will get free slaves ( angels ) according to thier lovely bible. So those hypocrits who refuse slavery just can't wait when they get in heaven so each one of them gets 2 slaves.
Slavery is one of the major doctrines for Christianity.

If you answered your own question, why did you ask?
MY answer would be:
I would meet my loved ones ,in the air!!
No more crying, no more tears, only peace and joy and gold streets and pearly gates-no nightime, only the brightness of Jesus' face--and more blessings than I can imagine--
JUST for asking Jesus into my heart!
I'm really glad I'm not living to please some of the people here, but only God.
