I would get in a place where I felt very serene, with God's presence, and have my own ceremony-just remembering good things about them.
or, you could go place flowers at their 'spot', and do it there.
I wouldn't worry about people seeing me, WHEREVER I do it, because people handle grief differently.
I'm sorry for your loss,..... I hope your service helps you feel better.

I work at a catholic hospital. Our Spriritual Care Department has a Pregnancy Loss Burial Service held at the hsopital every 3 months for recent or annivesaries of deaths. You can try conacting your local catholic or Christian Hospital and asking them what they may suggest you can do!

a couple of approaches come to mind: review a book which suggests some "formats" that you can adapt as desired, say:*angels--companions in magick*. or, just find a quiet spot that appeals and using your intuition "do what seems right". if it comes from your heart, it will never be inappropriate. either way the deceased will be very pleased and grateful.
