I'm asking this question because on every date I've been on it seems like the girl always says, "lets just be friends". I'm tired of being just a "friend". I want to be more than that to women. I think I'm a good looking guy most girls always say that. But I guess since I don't have a cocky, arrogant attitude I think that's what girls go for anyway. Could you guys help me please? Thanks

"Boyfriend Material" - Someone with personality traits that are compatible with mine that I AM physically attracted to.
That's the difference.

Cocky and arrogant has nothing to do with it. Personally, I go for guys that are nice, good-looking, nice personality and can be a boyfriend. I know that sounds weird but its true. The guys may be perfect, but if he talks and acts like more like a friend than a boyfriend, I wouldn't date him. I think alot of girls are looking for a guy that can be in control.(but not controlling) Have you heard of the saying, "one of the guys?" Well its the same thing with girls. I want to be able to talk and chill with my boyfriend, but at the same time I don't want him to be more of a friend. I hope you understand its hard to explain exactly what I mean.

NO it has nothing to do with cocky or arrogant guys.
Those girls just weren't into you. And "good looking" is completely relative. Are you extremely short? Are you over weight? Chubby? Do you dress well? I presume if they went out with you on a date that you can't look that bad- maybe you were shy or dull or something about your personality/life rubbed them wrong. Are you a momma's boy? Are you broke? Did you suggest to go dutch? There is a million reasons why they may only want to be friends....
I personally go for someone who can make me laugh, makes me feel comfortable and sexy, is fun to talk to and is physically attractive. Its a combo. And cocky and big headedness is definately not on my list of attractions.

Nowadays it seems they all like that "bad boy" traits in a guy. I am 54 so I am going to tell you what women used to look for in a guy. Courtesy, respect, kindness, sense of humor, fun to be with, spontaneous, but I am from old school. People are different now. So, just try to be yourself, I am sure there are girls looking for the same. Good Luck!!

Girls like hard to get. ( well most ) We want to have to try to get you. If a guy is just waiting and acting desperate than NOWAY we wont go for it. Just be a little more yourself. You don't have to be hot ( necessarily) but just have a BIG personality
