Remember why he's an ex in the first place. If he hasn't changed that aspect of himself then it's just going to be another trip around the same block.

Forgiving is different from letting him back in your life. And letting him back in your life is different than accepting all the sh*t that comes along with dating him.
I forgive the people I've dated in the past for mistakes/hurt/etc. 1 of the guys in particular I would NEVER want in my life again friendship or otherwise, eventhough I forgive him for what mess ups he did, he is not a good person and certainly not someone I want or need in my life. 1 ex, we were trying to be friends after I broke up with him and I wouldn't mind him in my life as a friend ONLY. But friendship does not include having "that" (mess) in my life again. SO... definately forgive, its good for you. Don't ever forget, all painful experiences are lessons learned. And you decide whether he is someone you want in your life whether as friend or more. Be careful. Don't expect him to be any different than before no matter what he says.

He is your ex, you don't need to forgive him or have contact with him. You need to do what is best for you and your life now. I don't know if you can ever completely forgive your ex but I do advise you to not dwell on your feelings for him.

Forgive but don't get amnesia. Forgivness is good for the soul. No use harboring all that anger. But don't act as if nothing has happened (whatever it is he's done, though I can probably guess that he cheated).

You can forgive him without bringing him back into your life.

I think you answered your own question... you don't want him in your life, then don't include him in it. Drama is not a good thing, so the less you have the better you will feel.

It all depends on what he did, it must be bad for you to say you don't want "that" back in your life, sounds lke you should move on.
