Because there is little doubt that the government of Iran has embraced and supported terrorism. Like most places in the world I am sure there are many decent people living in the country, but in the end we are all judged by the world perception our governments.

speckofdust7... : Why must I say this people everyday? WMDs have been found in Iraq. If you want to debate whether or not these weapons were useful in their current state that is different, but there is no question that they were found. Also no one has accused Iraq of being involved in 911. However numerous ties between Al Queda and Iraq have been proven to exist.

Some people should stop and consider the recent history of Iran. In 1953 the U.S. with British support (what else is new?) staged a coup that overthrew Dr Mohamed Mossadegh, the populist leader of Iran who voiced concern about Western exploitation of Iran's oil reserves. The U. S. supported for 25 years the authoritarian regime of the Shah of Iran who also squandered untold billions for his pleasure and prestige. In the 1980's the U.S. supported IRAN in their war against Iran.
Just who is the largest sponsor of state terrorism?

Because it is a matter of Ideologies, Political Agendas and Social-Economic beliefs and mind sets of fanatical Leaders and followers living on that side of the Global World.

Unlike the United States of America, Terrorist Countries suppress the Civil Rights and Constitutional Rights of their people including the freedom to engage in Free Enterprise and suppress the free-will of the People to freely elect their Government Leaders

Moreover, Terrorist Nations suppress the right of the people to chose political ideologies such as the right to decide whether to be a conservative or an independent or liberal person regardless of been in the Democratic or Republican political side of the spectrum.

Further, terrorist fanatical leaders -- under the guise of religion -- violate the civic and constitutional rights of their people to peacefully protest, petition the government for redress of grievances and even sue the government for wrongs etc.

Further, as opposed to terrorist nation or dictatorship foreign countries, only the american government allow the people to enjoy the freedoms, values and rights under a Democracy guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights under the United Nations!

Thus, America is the motherland and mother-ship of freedom and a beacon of hope and love for the people, foreign and abroad! May God Bless the United States of America! Should, I say more?

Americo!

They give guns, rockets bombs and training to every Muslim terrorist group. They even brag about it. If Russia and China (pals to North Korea, still occupies Tibet) didn't make so much money off of Iran (selling anything from guns to civil projects), Iran would have been invaded during the 1970s hostage crises. I'm guessing U.S. politicans think Russia and China would back Iran in a war with the U.S.

Like it or not, Iran supports many terrorist activities.

But more technically applying to your question, a common characteristic of any nation at war throughout history is the dehumanization of the 'enemy'. It's easier to fight and follow the government if you don't even think that the people you're fighting against are human.

i don't think of iran as a terrorist nation, it is a little unsettling to see the drive to keep their nuclear program running...which, i sort of understand considering the complete destruction of their power sources during war. i had an anthropology professor who is married to an iranian man and she put a lot of things into perspective for us and is very trusting of the people and government in iran and is a strong advocate of women's rights in that country as well as our own.
