When a single man meets a single woman and she makes it VERY clear that she is not interested in a relationship with him ... why would he insist in contacting her?

Because guys are clingy. And he's thinking with his penis.... And also some men didn't finsh grade school so they don't understand the meaning of no.

Probably because you have not made yourself CLEAR.
Girls THINK they are clear when they say "I'm not ready now..." or "I'm busy" a few weeks in a row....but that is not clear for a guy who has a crush on you.
Tell him point blank you are not interested, and do NOT wish to speak to him any further.
If he does not respect your wishes still...call the police. THAT is clear.

There are guys who just cannot believe that a woman wouldn't be interested in them. Laughable, but true. Probably it's an ego thing - they feel the image of their manhood has been dented.
