I'm african-american with long hair. After getting a relaxer, i wash my hair every other week, i sit under the dryer until its dry. Then i blow dry to untangle it. Then i flat iron it straight. Make sure through this process you keep hair moisturized. Also, make sure you wrap it at night.

I use Pantene Pro. V straighting Serum after I get a relaxer and then I use a hot comb to get the roots or just a Flat Iron.

Flat iron it from time to time, wrap it up at night, avoid moisture. Only wash it every other week, be sure to use a moisturizing shampoo & a deep conditioner. Also use a daily leave in moisturizer.

I wrapped my hair nightly when I want to acheive a straight hairstyle. I wet set my hair when I want to acheive curls. Try using a pressing comb on low heat to straighten it out.
