Well. I am not a doctor yet and I still tend to diagnose my own illnesses. Doctors might do the same.

I work in a clinic pharmacy and most of our doctors get they're prescriptions from us..they are seen by other doctors.Even doctors need someone elses opinion sometimes.Some of them do write there own prescriptions, like if they have a cold or something,the other day one of our pediatricians came to the counter and wrote her own script for some ear drops.They write them for they're family too. I think when it comes to checkups they usually want someone else to look at them...you can't really look into you're own ear,or mouth,or eyes......

yes when i worked at a large medical center my boss a doctor used to get one of us to do a blood test for him andsend it to the hospital,or make up a prescription for him if he had a sore throat
