The spiritual image is the only thing that makes sense in relation to human "creation" (see my other Qs) since God cannot have a physical shape (as per your most credible answers). But then, why have you the capability of being cruel, mean, violent and wicked? If your spirit has that capability and it was made in God's spiritual image, then logically God can also be cruel, mean, violent and wicked, right?

So if you have free will God has it too, and in that case it may be as nasty as it wants? Who wants a God like that anyway?

The bible tells us that God is "jealous" and "angry' and"vengeful".Why shouldn't humans be?

You're really asking two separate and quite different questions: 1) How can we humans be mean unless God is? -and- 2) What kind of God creates wickedness and cruelity?

As to the first question, we are the physical expression of all the various qualities which are a potentiality in the godhead...our creator...it cannot be otherwise, like create like. However, it is humans putting these qualities in their individual expression back onto the godhead which does not fit. The equation is not equal. It's like saying that every drop of water in the ocean is the same thing as the whole ocean...do you see how the 'image' of the whole can be different than the whole?

As to the second, God didn't create these 'negative' qualities...humans did...as an exploration of what it means to be not-like that which we are. In the duality of the human condition, as we are now experiencing it, this is part of the dance. We are the ones who need to decide, once and for all, that we don't need to be mean, violent or wicked to exist. And then, we won't...and yes, this is part of freewill, which is one of the gifts we have been given from the Divine.

I don't remember any of your other questions...

We are spirit children of God... we lived with Him in Heaven before coming to this earth to receive the gift of a body.. so we could be like Him.. He has a body.

We came to this world to get a body and to be tested to see if we would do all that God commands... we have been guided by Prophets throughout history.

When we came to this world we took on a physical body that is carnal by nature... it likes physical pleasures that are not spiritually right.... if it were not so.. this would not be much of a test. Also, satan knows the truth and he can influence some people into doing terrible things... satan does not want you to keep your free will... that is why he was cast out of heaven...

Our spirit body and our physical body look a lot alike... unless we have some kind of physical defect...

Do not attribute ANYTHING evil to God... we have free will.. to make our own choices. Satan was in Heaven with us and he wanted us to lose our free will when we came to this world... he wanted to guarantee that Every child of God would return to Heaven to live with Him... and... satan also wanted all of God's Glory and Power... when God refused to take away our Free Will, satan rebelled... and was cast out of Heaven... satan will never get a body... he knows the truth but he is miserable.. and he wants US to be miserable like him... so he does anything and everything he can to turn us against each other and against God.

Some people just listen to satan more than others... some people have been doing wicked things for so long that they no longer hear the Holy Spirit's voice testifying of God and Jesus Christ... they have turned their back on the Light of Christ which each of us are given at birth to tell right from wrong... and they are moving away from the light into darkness.

This test is not to let God know anything about us... he already knows... it is so that when we are judged.. WE will understand that the judgement is true and just.

Normally, I am quite a nice little old lady.
But mess with one of my kids or grandkids, and you will see just how cruel, mean, violent and wicked I can be. You will not like me very much, promise.
God is the same way. Don't mess with His kids.

God created us in his spiritual image - because he is spirit.
We also have been given free will - or freedom of our choice of action. God is not the one who causes us to do wrong things - we make that choice on our own, In fact, we are accountable to him for them.
God is perfect, we are not. Look at God and not at people for your model ( like Jesus).

The spirit was created perfect, in the image of God. But because of our flawed humanity and free will, the spirit can be corrupted so that it no longer resembles God. God CREATED us in His image - He doesn't maintain us in His image unless we ask.

It became into uncomplicated prepare in the classic close to east for rulers to erect statues of themselves on the borders of their domain names. those have been referred to as "photos" and represented the ruler's authority and dominion. it relatively is the fundamental thought at the back of the imago dei in Genesis. Humankind became into to be a actual representation of God's dominion and authority in the previous something of creation. for sure, we necessary particular attributes-- shared with God-- to accomplish this function. maximum individuals view basically like God as this determination of characteristics, will, emotion, mind, religious nature, etc. via fact the image. yet those are certainly secondary. we don't bodily "appear as if" God. that thoroughly misses the factor. peace

no...logically if you read the whole bible you'll find out that we were made in God's likeness...BUT adam and eve sinned bringing in evil to the world...therefore we can have a mean or cruel spirit within us. however to embrace such a thing, we have to be against God altogether. if we are His (having asked Him into our heart) then we try to bypass such a spirit.
