with my daughter is was constantly asking her for a while if she had to go then taking her when she did. (at first she still wore pullups but with panties over the pullups) . At the same time we had a sticker sheet hanging on the wall by the potty and she got to put a sticker on it whenever she went correctly. After a month or two she graduated to just panties and still has an accident on occassion when she plays to hard and cant get there in time or when she is laughing alot or being tickled. But on the most part she is doing really well. She also prefered a potty seat that fits onto a regular toilet better than a potty on the floor cause then she felt more like a big girl using th big girl potty.

Listen, it's not too late. First take her to the potty every morning when she wakes up, in the afternoon before and after her nap and at night before she goes to bed. Try that for a month, then tell her to inform you when she wants to use the potty by keeping her naked all day except at nap time and bed time.
She is bound to make some mess the first week but just correct her and let her know it's not right to pee or poopoo on the floor but her potty. Take her to her potty still. Try this for at least four montths, then start with puul ups and teach her how to pull it down and up when she knows when she knows when to go.
Try it, i promise you..it will work. However, you need a lot of patience both from her and your self. It is best and quicker when you are a stay at home dad or you have someone helping you out.
My daughter is 2 years old and has been potty trained since 16 months. I used same technique and it worked PERFECT.
Good luck.

She is too young really to start training.
But it's usually best to wait until she tells you. She might ask you to take her to toilet. She might tell you she has done a wee or poo, these are good signs as to when to start training.
You can buy a potty seat and tell her when she needs to go she can ask you, or you can buy the trainer toilet seat and step and go straight to using the toilet.
Put her in pull ups for now and tell he why you are giving them to her.
Make a sticker chart and everytime she uses the toilet or potty she can add a sticker. When you have a few stickers you can get her an inexpensive treat as reward.
reward her everytime she uses potty or toilet as this will reinforce the idea that potty or toilet is the best way to go.
If nothing works you could try putting on a pair of knickers and then her pull ups. When she wees she will understand the feeling of being wet and then it triggers them to want to use the toilet.
Letting them run around naked is ok, but it isn't always effective, and makes more mess for you to clean up.

My daughter just turned two aswell, and she just started on the potty training thing. All I did was buy a potty, have her sit on it while I'm using the bathroom aswell, so she can know what to do and how it should be done. I make her do this in the morning, afternoon and before she goes to bed and before I know it, she did #1 4 times each day since we started, and then I praised her for her accomplishments each time.

Every 2-3 hours take her to the potty and sit her down. She may or may not go but she'll start to understand that when she gets that sensation it means that she needs to be right here at that time. It'll take a while. Make sure that you praise her after she does it. Dance a little jig and use the term "potty or tee-tee". That way she puts the two together and can start to tell you about when it is time.

Well, first off, just explain to her that she will now be using the potty instead of diapers. Then go out and buy her some cute frilly "princess panties" that she gets to wear when she is finished with those yucky diapers. Girls of her age are much smarter than you may think. Do not forget to really celebrate each accomplishment in the process. No yelling or criticizm for not making it to the potty. It's gonna happen.
Hope this helps.

With my daughter, we went and bought a special potty chair, a throne, it would give a special noise just for sitting on it. She loved this (we had to replace batteries several times). Everytime someone would go to the bathroom, she would go to. I had a jar of M&Ms, Skittles, etc, evertime she went to her potty chair, she got a treat, even if she didnt "go". Her daddy had a tendency to spend more time in the bathroom "reading", so she would take her book and sit on her potty, and they would both read. I think the first time she went was by accident, but by going so frequently we were bound to catch one. It only took a couple of times, before she understood. They also get a reward song when they actually go to. My daughter was 18 months when we bought the potty chair.

I let my girls pick out their own new panties from the store and plenty of stickers. We started by wearing the panties over diapers for a while and then tried to wear just the panties while we were at home.
I also let them pick out their own potties. My first daughter liked the kind that sat on the potty, my second liked the kind that sat on the floor. She was uncomfortable with sitting up in the air on the big potty.
Don't push her to do this. She will let you know when she wants to go potty. You will just drive yourself nuts forcing her to go on the potty when she does not.
Good Luck.
For overnight, I kept a calendar next to their beds and let them pick a special place to go. Everymorning they woke up dry, they got to put a sticker star on the day and after 30 stars we went to Chuckie Cheese.

My nurse friend did this for both her son and daughter. in the mornings. if they wake up with a dry or almost dry diaper that means they are ready because they have enough bladder control. Create and environment where going to the potty is fun, Singing songs about the potty is such silly fun for the both of you. She used a reward system and that worked really quick.
