She is insecure. Not all women are insecure, I couldn't care less if my guy took a trip with some friends. I plan on taking a girls-only trip with my friends soon and too bad if he has a problem with it. People need to have a life outside of just eachother, and [gasp] that includes running into people of the opposite sex. If you were going to cheat you can cheat with a girl you meet at the Starbucks just as easy as cheating on some island.
If this is a BIG problem for you than you should express your annoyances, she can change or you can leave- or just expect to deal with it for a long time (if you two stay together)...

Not all women are like that. But most are. Why? We get emotionally attached to things and don't want to feel pain. So being protective and jealous is a way to save ourselves that. Also women are catty with each other to avoid the above cheating situation. It's not something any women wants. But although we do that, we're not all b!tches! Trust me! We just want to be able to hang onto a good thing without worry.

Not all girls are like that but when we get that feeling it's usually for a reason. Maybe your behavior is giving her cause to think your cheating. Ask her why she thinks your cheating.
*Did you not call when you said you were going to
*Was she not able to get a hold of you
*Were there women in the background while she talked to you

You're basing all women on your present gf? Especially since you've already cheated. Perhaps you're merely giving signs of unfaithfulness. Some people do that when they're insecure.
Perhaps you need to look at your own actions before blaming others for theirs.

she may have had a couple of bad experiences. Girls are under the impression that guys only care about one thing. She doesn't sound like she has a lot of confidence. The only thing you can do is give it some time. Don't give her any reason to suspect anything and eventually, she will learn to trust you. Good luck!

Men are the same way too ya know! I think it all boils down that nobody wants to be played as a fool. Trust is the one thing a relationship is based on and once you break it then it is hard sometimes impossible to get back.

of course she's gonna be defensive "once a cheat always a cheat" that's the way it USUALLY is. If you're not anymore good for you but you need to understand her concern

Don't be mad at her. You cannot prove anything to her by being mad. Just give her as much attention as possible and show as much love as possible. If you do these things regular, she will begin to realize you are not cheating.

You just need to talk to her about it. When my husband and i was dating he cheated on me and we splitt up, but look now he is my husbad, I accuse him of cheating on me, it is just in a women to accuse you of cheating, expecially if you have done it before. Just try to talk to her and show her that you care, Take her somewhere nice.
