Why does everyone seem to think there's some "special" way to do these things? Just do it! Go up to him and ask him out. Call him over the phone. Anything!

Just go up to him and ask tell him "we should hang out sometime" and see what he says. Judging by his response you can take it from there.

First give hints. It's all about the eyes and the smiles you give him. If you do those things just right, he'll approach you.
