Yeah, I had a burgler in my gunsights one time after he threw a brick through the window to see if anyone was home and then he kicked the front door in. He was surprised. I hesitated just a moment with him screaming DONT SHOOT, DONT SHOOT when my trigger did finally connect the hammer release. If he hadn't been doing a backflip over the balcony railing it would have hit him in the chest.

Two other notes. Only in Texas can you defend your property. All other states request you tell the authorities "you were in fear of your life". Keep that in mind.

If you have a default student loan a concealed weapons permit is denied like you were some kind of felon.

Does a water pistol count......I have used others but I find that a water pistol is the best one, think of it this way, If you were stuck in a desert and you had a water pistol, youd be like in heaven.......

You'll have to excuse me because I don't really know my weapon's, for instance I've gone to shooting range before and shot a gun, don't know a pistol from a gun or, or they the same? Anyway, I shot one round and I was so terrified and shaking and scared, I never went back. It made me sick to my stomach, but I think that's becuase my cousin had just been shot to death over 9 times and one bullet to the head, that could have had alot to do with it!

I have used a pistol and they are really difficult to hit anything with at a distance and take considerable practise to hit medium range objects. Since the barrel is very short you have to be extra careful where it is pointed.

Yes I did this National Small Arms Firing School class at Camp Perry in Ohio, and I have also been to the shooting range with my dad a couple of times. I prefer rifles though.

Yep. 9mm Beretta while I was in the Navy, a 45 revolver and a .380 with an ex boyfriend, and a Glock 45 compact with my fiance. Shooting at the range with them, not shooting the men in my life...lol. That sounded a little scary.

Yes, I have used the followings:

1. A Smith & Wesson
2. A Double Barrel Shot Gun (which I use to scare wild animals from my agriculture land...so that they don't destroy the crops).

Yes, I took a course to get a permit to carry. I was amazed at the accuracy that can be achieved seeing all the people on TV missing each other often at point blank range.
