The oldest religions in the world believed in gods & goddessess. Look at Hinduism (the very oldest), ancient Greek, Celtic & Nordic mythology.
I believe in gods and goddesses because that makes sense to me. I guess I don't "belong" to a religion because I don't believe an organized group (ie-religion) should determine one's beliefs. One's religious and spiritual beliefs should come from their heart. Spiritual beliefs are very personal & shouldn't be limited to an organized religion.

I dont know...I know people who believe in god, but arent affiliated with any sect of religion. They just, believe in a god of some kind. Something inside them tells them there is a god.
It's all sujective.
