I lost the instructions to mine. There is a small filter/shallow basket type that goes on the inside at the top... is this where the tea bags go? I lost the instructions and I wasn't sure if there is another 'loose' part that I am missing? Thanks Bunches!

I regularly placed 4 relatives-sized tea luggage contained in the carafe itself and let the tea steep for form of five minutes formerly eliminating the luggage. Then I dilute it in a tumbler with ice-water = to the contents of the brewed tea. I upload somewhat lemon to style. Tea`s on. -S

No, the basket is in the top and there is a little white handle that slides over the basket once it's in place.
