Well, sorry to say that but your aiming is probably to blame if it diverts sometimes to the right and sometimes to the left. Try aiming with the gun on a table or something so that you move alot less. That should help with aiming. Also, it's possible that you have to aim just a little higher than the middle of your target since after a while, gravity takes over and your pellet gets dragged down gradually. So with these tips, you should be able to hit your targets.

Go buy a new box of BB's and practice. Check your scope to make sure that it is mounted tight on the gun and is not working loose when you shoot. Aim at the target the same way everytime you shoot. Use the top dial on the scope to adjust your elevation (up and down)and the side dial to adjust your windage (left and right) according to where the majority of the BB's are hitting the target. Most of all don't get discouraged, target shooting like anything takes practice!

What you do is go to a pond. Aim the scope, then shoot while still looking through the scope. You can then judge how far out of whack it is. You then turn the dials and do it again. You may have to do it for a little while to get it. Also note that how far you are away from your target will influence it. You can make it accurate for a certain distance, but other distances will need you to adjust your aim accordingly.

use a rest when you start to site in your gun. the top knob will raise or lower point of impact.adjust it till it hits center of target area.side knob will move impact left or right, adjust till it is center.loosen screws move dial to zero, tighten back up.as you move farther away from target bb will hit lower so you will have to raise top settings.make a note of new settings,so you can hit bullseye at different ranges.
