Hebrews 12:23, Hebrews 10:25. Hebrews 10:25 starts off saying Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. That not at the beginning is not a suggestion, but a command. Luke 14:23 is a good one. You can find so many scriptures where Paul wrote to the churches. So mant have a bad experience with one church and allow they dont need church. Well even Jesus was found in the church when He was 12. I think we should be found in the church.

There's a lot to be said about your question and what's really going on within the Christian community about church attendance. I'll just start listing some thoughts below.

1. You said "Please give me scripture as to what Jesus said", that, right-off-the-bat, is a bad premise for following the NT scriptures. Jesus preached and teached under the old covenant, pointing to the new covenant. There was not even a "church age" yet, -so why exclude most of the new Testament simply because it's not in "red letters"?? (ie Jesus' words). Jesus would promote following the whole New Testament, not just his words alone.

2. There's plenty of mistaken folks out there that think church attendance MEANS they're going to heaven, while a lot more people think NOT going to church is perfectly OK for a thriving growing-in-faith christian. Both are obviously wrong.

You don't need scriptures to state the obvious. The writers of the epistles typically wrote of really important stuff that the church believers were confused or unaware of. I don't think in times of early church history, when Christianity was a new and foreign concept to the world, that true Christians would have had to be told to learn more and have to be told to fellowship with other like minded believers. It's kind of obvious, - that's what folks do anyway, -hang out with people they agree with and with others they can 'feed' from.. ie TV anyone?

BTW: Hebrews 10:25

Any time we can get together two or more believers I would say that is Church. Church is not a building but we the believers are the Church.

I wish I could quote you scriptures to back this up, but the bible doesn't specifically require that we meet in church every week. It's somewhat vague on the subject and just says to surround yourself with fellow christians. This could be christian friends or could be going to church. It's up to you to decide. But then I'm a Protestant so I believe that you find God on your own terms ;-)

I consider church a place in where Christians can go together to meet God. I think that going or not is a personal choice. I only go to church eventually.

Hebrews 12:23 says to not forsake the assembly of the church. So, go to church when it meets.

church is a house of god and we can go there anytime but it is like visiting a friend when ever you want to you can go there. people in the religious group want people to come there so they can make their money from them i go to church when there is no one there i can sit and relax and reflect my thoughts and pray, i hate when people put pressure on others about it and the priest telling people what to do and how to do some thing cause every1 is not the same and priest can't tell people how to live and how to take care of a family if they have one
