in accordance with awkward interpretations of a few very unusual imagery in only an highly few Christian texts, there's a perception that someone going about calling himself the Jewish Messiah will surely be the anti-christ. it is likely what you've heard. i will merely say that there are easily different approaches to interpret the texts. a number of the Christian concepts about the anti-christ come from some both weird and wonderful images contained in the e book of Daniel, it is Jewish. Daniel writes about a 'beast' and primary Jewish and scholarly concensus is that Daniel's imagery is all metaphor for the political difficulty around the Babylonian exile; Daniel's beast had already come and lengthy gone. there became an theory of an anti-Messiah floating about a lengthy time period in the past, formerly the middle a lengthy time period i imagine, at the same time as there have been efforts to reconcile Muslim and Jewish beliefs. It hasn't been retained and that i imagine maximum Jews will be a great deal surprised to make certain that it became there in any respect.

*sigh* I'm not sure. I'm not a jew, and unless you're a jew it probably doesn't matter.

And no, the messiah is not their anti-christ. It is Christ that their waiting for.
