2 tbsp olive oil
put in dry unstyled hair and cover it with a cap or plastic wrap. blow dry it on med heat for 5 mins, or sleep with it in.
the heat will open your cuticle and allow the oil to penetrate the innermost layers of your hair...then rinse with cool water to close the cuticle. shampoo and condition as normal..your hair will be really soft, smooth and shiny..and it wont leave a greasy or oily feeling

Flat beer, olive oil, and mayonaise (not used all at once) are good quick fixes...

If you want a longer last fix, and have the patience to give it a couple of weeks, go to your local pharmacy, and purchase OTC (over the counter) prenatal vitamins. They're tested safe, and the only side effects you'll get are soft, shiny, stronger hair ..... Longer, stronger nails.... a clearer complextion.

Walmart sells two different herbal/vitamin products that work amazingly. One is called "HAIR" and the other is called "NAILS" They are with all of the other vitamin products. (another thing that you can use that is not bad for you is a woman's daily vitamin or for even better results, over the counter prenatal vitamins. My cosmetology instructor reccommended the prenantal vitamins. Said she never stopped taking them after her children because of the benefits of taking them) ALWAYS ask your doctor before beginning and vitamin or herbal regimin, especially if you take any daily medications.

you can put chamomille in a jar with water for a day...in the sun and use it to rinse your hair after you shampoo with a nice baby shampoo to get the mayonnaise you put in for 1/2 hour. They all combine to make your hair as healthy as possible...baby shampoo is the least harsh to your hair and will clean it just as well as the others. If you don't want to use mayo take a good smelling conditioner and slather it all over your head for 1/2 hour...then wash most off with the baby shampoo and rinse with the chamomille if you can....If you have hi lites this will brighten them up too.

I always read in beauty magazines to use olive oil mixed with egg and mayo. Or mash an avacado and spread all over hair. It sounds gross, but it will leave the hair super shiny and soft!!

Not herbs, but did you ever collect rain water in a barrel or bucket and wash your hair with that?! Talk about soft and silky!
