Do not take aspirin before you go to bed this is extremely hard on you heart. If you drink water between every drink this will rehydrate you and this will reduce the hangover.

Drink lots of water, before drinking, while drinking, and before you go to bed. Take the over the counter medication called Chaser as directed and get some coffee first thing in the morning. Have fun!

Before drinking alcohol, drink one tablespoon of olive oil, and drink a glass of water when you are done drinking for the night, before you go to bed. another way would be to continue drinking as soon as you wake up. How can you feel hung over and drunk at the same time? start with a bloody mary or a screw driver.

Don't drink in excess.. and stick to drinks of same family. Example, just stick to say whiskey and don't take mixed drinks with vodka, tequilla or other stuff not in the wiskey/rum family. Finish night off with a full glass of water.

Try taking an Alka-Seltzer beforee going to bed, and one as soon as you get up. They make a "morning relief" version, which is clearly for hangovers. It has a little caffeine in it for an extra kick.

Works for me every time.

I dunno about awaking 'fresh', but soon after getting up, try some tomato juice, if you don't like tomato juice try dipping a cracker in it and eat the cracker.
A former boss (also a biker) turned me onto this trick - kudos to Deb Harter, this really works.
