Why would your friendship be at risk if you admit your feelings for her? Would she be the one ending it, or would you avoid her if she rejected you? If your real friends, then your friendship would have a strong foundation. Nothing would be able to shake that. Sure, it might be awkward at first (of you confessing), but then after sometime both of you would just accept what happen and things would be ok between the two of you.

Rejection or failure is a part of life. It happens to everyone. At some point in our lives, we have experienced how it feels to fail or to be rejected. It's not a matter to be afraid of. Yes, it would hurt, especially if what you feel is really deep, but that's not the end of you. As the saying goes, "Life does not end in heartaches.." There's still a lot ahead of you. You would still meet different people along the way. So, the advice that I could give you is to take the plunge and tell her. Don't jump to conclusions. You are not sure of what she feels towards you. Or, if she would say no to you? If you let yourself be consumed by fear, then she might be taken away by another man before you even have the chance to confess. You would just end up in regret. You would keep asking yourself, telling yourself what could have, should have, or would have been if you told her. You could have been happy together. Who knows? Life is one big game. If you want to suceed, then you shouldn't be afraid of taking risks.

Whatever you choose to do, I wish you good luck.

That seems obsurd to me that this girl would end your friendship because you ask her out. This tells me she probably already has a boyfriend or is seeing one of your friends. If this is important to you...than persue her.However,...if the friendship would be over because of embarrassment, that's something totally different.
Either way, you have some self esteem issues.Realize you are who you are,.....you can't change.....if she likes you now for who you are, she will still like you later. And if you grow some balls and ask her out, she may like you as a boyfriend.

Getting used to rejection will be the key to your future. Fear of rejection will prevent you from taking chances, and you will have a life full of regrets. Get used to it, and never take it personally, and then opportunities will arrive more and more. If she says no, then at least that frees you up to pursue your next dream.
