I don't care what religion you are but how can you still believe in a god? It can not be disputed that there is NO god, so why do you still give money to a church or temple, and waste time prying?

To answer your second question first, FatherBob is not nuts, he is playing you.He had a question posted recently where he was doing a poor imitation of a radical Jihadist.

Now, for your first. My belief is based on a profund personal experience that will never be erased by events or the passing of time. I am praying right now that you have the good fortune to enjoy a similar experience. Good luck and God bless you!

Actually there's a lot of compelling arguements on both sides of the question of the existence of God. Look up nature of evil or teleological arguements for a few. Further there is no conclusive proof that there is no God because we simply don't know enough. There are a lot of things in the universe that we simply don't have a picture for. Before you go ridiculing people for their faith look into the subject a little more. Also read your post "It can not be disputed that there is NO god" that sentence is really clumsy.

P.S. I'm agnostic I just hate ignorant people.

Well, I'm a Deist, but I don't give money to churches or go around praying all the time. I believe in a Creator of all energy and matter, but not a personal God like the Christians.

So, when you pounce on the term "God" you should know there are many many different types.

Can you prove that statement, that there is no God? Give me one hour and I can prove there is a God and that He is still in power and will be forever. Check out Daniel 2 and you will find the history of the Earth from Daniels time to the end of the world and beyond down to the year things happened. Now how could a mere man tell things that would happen thousands of years in advance and be so accurate if not for a God telling him about it? Check it out if you dare.

I don't believe, but I think everyone has to do what's right for them. When I hear about all the church scandals, it makes me wonder too. If there is a God, I honestly don't think he'd be digging all the materialism, greed, corruption and lies that have been going on in "his name." Personally, I think most of this is all a scam, but for the people who REALLY believe, if that's what gets them through a day~ God speed.

maybe if you'd give church a chance, be faithful, continue praying, get grounded in a church, have fellowship with the brethern, learn about the bible & what it's truly about, then maybe you'd understand.
god commands us to give 10% of our first fruits back to him, we are left with the 90%.
god is our provider, so we're not giving the money directly to the church, we give in the church & give god back what's right fully his.
god says if you believe & have faith as small as a mustard seed & not doubt, he'll answer your prayers according to his perfect will & time.
all our prayers & petitions that are made known to the lord never come back not heard nor answered.
sometimes it takes time, short or long but my prayers have always been answered. whether they be yes, or no. god knows what's best.
there's only 1 god ever created, then his son jesus christ & then the holy spirit. that's it. no other man made gods, idols, nor graven images.
give god a chance, & trust me..you'll never regret it. at least you can say you tried right?
what's it going to hurt? but remember, god knows u'r heart.
the only way to enter into the kingdom of heaven is thru jesus christ.
not by your beliefs, nor good deeds.
you need to ask god to forgive all your sins, repent, turn away from wrong, accept christ into your heart to live as your personal lord & saviour, to acknowledge that jesus christ died upon that cross for you.
trust me, do this & it's the key to eternal life, salvation.
trust me, you won't regret it.
i've been in church serving god since 1991. i've never once regreted it. god can touch u in such a way that you'll know my god exists.

same can be said for you how can you not believe in god? evolution has been proven inpossible through a mathmatical standpoint as well as scientifical. when the quran was revealed 1400 years ago it has never been proven wrong. the quran revealed things in science which modern scientists today are still only unraveling. so there for how did an illiterate man know all of this? none of us will ever see god in our lifetime. god is based on faith. atheists say they do not believe in something they can not see well thats fine people can not see uv rays which can give them skin cancer we know it is there. for a man who does not shave or cut his hair for him a barber does not exist. if you choose not to except god you are living in denial. that is a personal decision on your part. who are we to force you other wise. remember people make the world a horrible place to live in not god. if you put your faith in god at the hands of the people then you are truly failing your own soul.

Brian, no one can make you believe anything that you don't want to believe.

All I can do Is speak from my heart and tell you what happened to me. You can think that I'm a fool if it makes you more comfortable to feel this way, but this is what made me start to believe

.Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don

Warm fuzzies, I think. It's nice to "know" that big daddy is looking after you and you'll get to be with the people you love for eternity. It's a difficult deal to turn down, even in the face of logic and rationality.

EDIT: Father bob is putting that answer for every question, for some reason....

Well, in fact there IS a God, so how can you NOT believe?

Secondly, I think someone is messing around here on the whole fatherbob thing. The original questions that fatherbob asked implied him to be muslim, but this guy is the opposite.

Either way, I'm reporting them both.
