because Hezbolah crossed the border, killed 8 israel soldiers, and took two captive.....and it is not so much Lebanon, as the Hezbolah.......it so goes that the two are brothers in arms....for the most part......well, maybe that is too strong....anyway, that is the reason

I dont want to be political but i might have to sound like it. Whats the reason for any great war, or any war at all, first of all religion (look back at the crusades for an example), religion again, money. Labanon does not have any real monetary value so it started because of religion, then it might've become a personal vendetta between the two countries, but the main reason religion.
