Maybe "The Word" got misinterpreted somewhere down the line.

Of course it did. Especially from the Hebrew to English. There are many times where an English word does not exist to represent the ideas presented in the Hebrew version. That and there are many religious texts that were chosen by the church to be left out of the Bible that they chose to teach from.

Jesus spoke Aramaic, the gospels and the writings of Paul were written in Greek. Neither Paul nor the Gospel writers had ever met Jesus and the earliest of the Gospels was written at least 30 years after JC was dead. Iraneas, an early theologian picked the 4 gospels out of the more then 30 they had at hand he also assigned the names Mathew Mark Luke & John to the 4 he picked as the original authors were not recorded. He selected them on the basis of what would be the most expedient for the church. One of the ones he dumped was ' Thomas ' which is probably older and more valid then the ones selected. The 'Bible' was translated into Latin, then German by Luther. The English Version is based mostly on the translation by William Tynesdale who translated a lot of it from Luther's German translation. Tynesdale who was burnt at the stake for heresy was such a poor translater that he translated Yahwey (YHWY) into Jehovah. The King James version is at least 90% the same as Tynesdale's word for word. The 'word" is a mistranslation for logos which does not mean word at all. Jesus is a Greek mistranslation for Joshua, full name Joshua Bar Yusef

There are different translations but the message is the same. God created the earth and all that is in it. God sent Jesus to die for our sins so that we could be pleasing in His sight. Jesus arose from the tomb in a victory over death and is now in heaven preparing a place for His people. One day He will return for the people that have followed His teachings.

There is the original Greek version that was translated into the King James version which was translated into the New King James version which was translated into the New International version, etc. Each version has been translated not to change the message but to make the language more user friendly. Each version has more modern language to make it easier to understand.

Now there are some versions that have been so loosely translated that maybe the central message has not changed but some of the other parts have taken on a different meaning. There are so many things being done now that has to be politically correct. You just have to study and be careful. It you are a Christian pray about the version in question and the Holy Spirit will point you in the direction of Jesus.

Could the pope possibly be catholic?

All religion is man made it all makes the same claim that it comes from God. This claim is partially true but people can never stand to leave Gods word alone. This is because god’s word is consistent and does not mesh well with their personal preconceptions and bigoted ideas. So they make little changes here and there injecting their thoughts into the mix tainting the word with nonsense. For this reason you should not put much faith in these ideas about god that come from others. If God wants to tell you something He is perfectly capable of telling you directly.

Maybe you should stop reading what other people say about God and ask him to tell you what he wants you to do directly. Stop reading; clear you mind and listen. When you pray get you’re talking over as soon as possible and listen. He is trying to talk to you but your mind is full of nonsense from the bible and other sources. Don’t be surprised if what you hear does not sound much like what you have been told about God. You will be hearing Gods message minus the nonsense.

In your bible study have you ever heard of the small still voice? You can't hear it if your mind is otherwise occupied with other people’s silly ideas about God. Just try it you will be surprised

There is a book called the course in miracles that explaines how to make this connection in great detail. I was skeptical, but it actually works

Love and blessings

When there is a translation done, they get only those that know the original languages very well and are very meticulous in the process that takes several years to do. They do not have only one or two but dozens of people that work on different parts of it. Even if there was something that turned out to be incorrect in there, it would be very easy to see what it was when you compare it to what it says in other places. You do not find any contradictions in the bible even though some may say there is, it has never been proven.

There are bound to be translations that were done incorrectly. But just as there are many religions, it is the interpretation of what they think the Bible is telling them. What I think "Christians" need to be concerned about is not what exactly they think the Bible is telling people and pushing thier interpretations of it on people, just that people believe there is a higher power out there. Many people can argue about the contents of the Bible, and in fact that it was written by man himself and that the writing of the Bible can be just thier prespective of the writings.

On a side note, I think Christians should be more concerned on why the other books of the Bible were left out if they also were God's word?????

Actually I am more concerned about incorrect interpretation than incorrect translation. "The Word" has been misinterpreted all along by some religions, and the translations do get changed to fit the interpretation.

These are the Last Days and Satan has loosed confusion on the world, just like what the "Da Vinci Code" did, and people who call themselves "Christians" actually had the audacity to go and see it! So my answer is NO, I am not concerned because I am secure enough in my relationship with my Lord and Personal Savior, Jesus Christ and I pray that you will allow yourself to have a REAL encounter with the KING of KINGS and the LORD of LORD'S. Then surprisingly You won't be "Concerned" either!

I understand your frustration, yet i think the bible is in truth the very words of God and could be noted. i think your anger will no longer be with Christians believing the bible includes no mistakes, yet with those who take it out of context and upload issues that it truly does no longer say operating example many church doctrines say the dinosaurs under no circumstances existed because as of now medical info factors to them residing and demise off before guy changed into in this earth. this can look to coach the bible incorrect, yet does it truly? At one time medical info said the earth changed into flat. We now comprehend it is not. i think if God enables the earth and people to very last lengthy sufficient technological understanding will discover the answer and it is going to coach the bible accurate. some believe introduction took many thousand years and in accordance to an afternoon is to God like 1000 years, who's to say that isn't any longer genuine? some believe there changed into 2 creations, one the position God created the earth with the dinosaurs, and yet another even if he created guy. who's to say, only because the bible mentions only one introduction and one earth, we received't be certain he did not create others. God Bless

I think there are some slightly inconsistent translations of the Bible. However, let's keep in mind that it's the Holy Spirit that does the interpretations.
