If I am not wrong, I think the apple symbolises knowledge. If Eve's sin is in being smarter than Adam, then so be it. Knowledge is one of the most significant things in life and I am glad Eve was successful in swallowing the bite.

Both Adam and Eve were equally guilty. Adam was standing right beside her the whole time the serpent was talking her into eatting the forbidden fruit. He WATCHED and HEARD the entire ordeal. He did not do his duty of stepping in to correct the matter so as to avoid God's punishment.

Yes, she ate the fruit first. I don't think that Adam was just chilling somewhere else and had no idea what was going on. I think he was standing right there and that it didn't take much for Eve to convince him to eat the fruit too.

i believe it to be adam who committed the first sin
adam was responsible for eve, where was he when she was tempted, was he not supposed to be watching over her, taking care of her, why did he leave her alone
and then here comes adam and here's eve and she offers adam a bite of the forbidden fruit and sure and enough he samples the fruit
then later with feelings of guilt, here's adam and eve and we here the voice of god asking adam what's going on and what did adam say, did he take the blame as he should have, saying, "father i have sinned i left eve all alone, she was tempted, it is my fault, i take the blame"
no, obviously this is not what adam said, he put the blame solely on eve.......
that was the first sin

What apple? The playwrights who created the biblical myths didn't give a name to the fruit. Choosing free will is not a sin. It's an explanation for how reincarnation works - or, if you buy into the mythology - for why "God" allows "evil" in the world.

No. Adam did.
Lucifer was once the arch-angel of worship(music), in heaven. Upon being cast to earth, he is known as Satan. In Eden, Satan took the form of the serpent, and approached Eve. He knew Adam had been taught by God Himself, and he also knew how beguiled Adam was with his new wife. Satan did what he does best, he lied to Eve...mixing just enough truth to truly deceive her. Adam sinned by agreeing with Satan. Adam could have rebuked Satan, but, instead, he closed the deal with him. He handed over control of the earth to Satan, and chose to decide for himself, what was good or evil, and take control over his life from God. Adam knew better. He walked in the garden with God, and God taught him everything Himself. Adam committed the ultimate act of treason, by handing over his God-given authority over this earth to Satan. Now, we live in a world that is under Satan's control, and most don't even realize it.
We are still suffering today, because of that decision. Mankind still wants to control his own life, decide for himself what is right and wrong. Look at society today. We have become a God-less nation.
We can still retake authority over earth from Satan, if we want, because, Jesus gave us that authority.

According to Chrsitianity, yes, she tempted Adam (which is why women are supposedly punished by the pain of childbrith).
According to Islam, both Adam and Eve were equally guilty.

If You read Genesis you will find that Eve ate first but did not tempt Adam because he was there beside her. The serpent tempted them. She ate it and "turned to Adam beside her and he ate"

Yes she was but Adam could have stood up to her and said No! We are not supposed to be eating from this tree! But he went right along with her. Taking responsibility for your own actions has been a problem from the beginning.
