The principal and cardinal virtue for the followers of Zarathushtra is to adhere to the Zarathushti creed of Humata, Hukhta and Havarastra (Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds).
The winged symbol in the background is the Fravashi, also known as Faravahar or Farohar, and not Ahura Mazda as erroneously mentioned by some western authors. For more information click on "Fravashi" in the left column.
Information and some relevant references are also provided on Zoroastrian Calendar, Prayers, Fire-temples, etc.
Hope this helps also put web site down a few

It is said to be the predesessor of Judaism and Christianty. It teaches the believe in one God and promise of a messiah like figure. The history behind the beginning of this religion is similiar to Christianiaty since it teaches that the prophet Zoroastre's birth was prophesised, that the evil king tried to kill him, etc.
It is suggested that the coming messiah-figure of Judaism was influenced by Zoroastrian prophesies. Mithras was worshipped as the messiah and it is said that the story of Jesus was intertwined with the myth of Mithras (the savior demi-god).

If you know anything about Christianity, you know most everything about Zoroastrianism, since most of Christianity was ripped off from the sect of Mithra. Just change the following names and you know everything you need to know:
God = Ahura Mazda
Satan = Ahriman
Jesus = Mithra.
That's it!

Much of it is the basis for the christian mythology.
Christians need to be very careful studying these subjects. It quickly shows that much of what they have been taught as being christian existed under another name much eariler.
This is not a bad thing in it's self because it shows How loving God truly is. It shows that he had a deep concern for all of his children from the very beginning.
Still it can be quite a shock to suddenly realize that much of what you have been taught is untrue.
I know that it was for me, but in the end it made my faith in the true and real God I discovered much stronger.
