How many of you are sick and tired of this hate crap? Especially between the Abrahamic religions. Jews, Christians, Muslims - they are all just as bad. Why don't people decide to grow up and learn to tolerate religions?Learn about other's believes by studying their religions not by watching TV/media but by researching!

I would honestly aprecdiate it if you give me "no-hate" answers.

Thank you.

Peace :-) Veritas

No, I'm not phased one bit. I don't care. Let people hate if they want to, as long as they're not bothering me - why should I care?

Well first of all you have to be calm because religion is a belif and I don't think anyone should be angry or sad by the thought of religion because it is no use. And as an answer for your question yes it is pretty sick for people to fight over religions but it's the very human nature that makes them to act that way, Why do you think people fight over wars, It's because they want to be called above others in other words they want to be called superior. The other thing is that you would probably feel the same way, I mean think about it people making fun on your religion It is sick. But as much as I think it is sick I also belive that the bloodshed have to come to a halt and some kind of agreement should be reached.

The real problems in religion are the leaders and the followers. When you have a leader like Bush who uses the ignorance of the followers to pursue political/financial goals in the name of a religion, against another religion, you have GOOD people supporting a BAD person/objective. This is clearly the case right now.

Realistically though, Bush has done some great things for humanity. He has exposed, to a great many people around the world, that using religion is an effective tool to do evil. And now, people are going to be less gullible to such a tactic for many years to come. So, despite his evil doings, he has helped us, IF WE SURVIVE HIM.

To answer your question though, YES, I am SICK AND TIRED OF IT.

There is more to understand about what is really going on here.
You are right, it makes no sense when you look at and study
religions and basic religious philosophy.
This religious "conflict" and intolerance is actually created by a hidden third party, and it relies on generating and perpetuating "fear" in others so they cannot easily see. To "grow up" and "change your mind" about something you have to be able to really look , which you cannot do from an emotional tone level of "fear".

Consider this:

A society is capable of surviving for thousands of years unless it is attacked from within or without by hostile forces. Where such an attack occurs, the primary targets are it's religious and national gods and heroes,it's potential of leadership and the self respect and integrity of it's members.
If you look around you , you will find countless examples of these points. They scream at us every day from the newspapers and TV.
Probably the most critical point of attack on a culture is it's religious experience. Where one can destroy or undermine religious institutions then the entire fabiric of the society can be quickly subverted or brought to ruin.
For the last hundred years or so religion has been beset with relentless attack. You have been told it’s the “opiate of the masses “, that it’s unscientific, that it is primitive, in short , that it is a delusion.
The source of this kind of attack is always covert and hidden. It is promoted by a few who have a vested interest in a slave society.
Unfortunately these few rely on creating fear and insecurity in others to forward and promote their enemy propaganda. These others feel correctly they have to defend themselves from an attack, but because the real enemy is hidden, they can be manipulated to attack what they really should be defending as they cannot see the real enemy.

The key here is that underneath all these attacks on organised religion there is one fundemental target:
The spirituality of man, your own basic spiritual nature, self respect and peace of mind.

These days all emphasis is put on differences between faiths, never on common roots or similarities. A lot of faiths (not just Christianity and Islam) have a lot more in common than many people realise. Sadly, most good things (and people) never make it into the news headlines- it is always the bad things and the bad people.

Actually I am sick of all the hate between all the groups of people. Why are we filled with such unpleasantness? Why do we feel the need to belittle the beliefs of others or the unbelief's? It makes one almost ashamed to be a human. But then, along comes someone who tries to spread peace and love, or at least tolerance who reminds me that not all of us are filled with hate. Love too exists.

Peace Be With You,
Debra

undoubtedly i'm saddened by this hatred that seems to burn in the hearts of these people, we are all Gods children no matter what religion, or colour we are all human and bleed the same way, why things have to be this way i will never understand, i believe in Christ, and i still read the Quran sometimes, just to understand Islam, the only time i think people will realize they are doing a wrong with this hatred thing....is when it is just too late to fix anything....how sad is that?.

Yes, it does. All religions profess love, yet I can't tell you how many really rude vicious people I have seen putting other religions down. I don't care what religion a person has as long as that person has something that makes him or her want to do right and be the best person he/she can be.

yes, it is exasperating. I read something yesterday that struck me as totally true. It is part of a book called "The god part of the brain" and it proposes that the reason why so many of us deeply feel that there is a higher power who loves us and will usher us into a heavenly place after we die, is because of our minds' defense mechanism against the ominous inevitability of our own death. It says that early man developed this defense mechanism as we became self-aware, and started to experience alot of anxiety about the realization of the fact that we will all die someday, and it could be any day.

They learned this from Christians.... how to convert others!

I respect the fact that all have a right to their own opinions, religions, and faith beliefes, but the hate comes from:

"my faith is the one and only faith"

and

"my religion is the one true religion".

and

"you will go to hell if you don't convert"

If each group would only mind their own business, there would be far fewer conflicts.
