Last night I was watching Sex In The City. Charlotte, (whatever her name is). It was the show were she had a problem with her vagina, and it being depressed. Plus the fashion show.

Anyway, my question to you is. Do you look at your vagina? My girlfriend, my brother's girlfriend, and my niece all three said NO. I do not understand this. It seems like you would need to check yourself to make sure everything is OK. Because there could be a problem without any discomfort.

I can not speak for your sister or girlfriend or any other female out side of myself, I will tell you like this it is the same if something was wrong with your penis. wouldn't you check it out?
I check my out if there were something I felt was wrong down there If your arm was bleeding wouldn't you look at it?
It's just another part of the human body.
The only way I can see someone not checking on them selves is if they were taught that it is wrong or something like that. But they may just not want to tell you something like, because it is after all personal.
I hope that this helps you somewhat..

This is like asking the question 'Do girls masturbate?' Most women will say no, whereas the answer is probably more often than not yes. I do indeed look at it. Its like examining ones breasts - its got to be done, especially if you think something is up or feel some pain or whatever. However, it is kinda difficult to see down there, so generally I'd say girls have a look and feel and try to work out if something is wrong, and then if they do, go see the Doctor. A simple answer to your question is yes. Women do look at their vaginas just like men look at their penises. End of.

I check myself down there like I would exam my breasts.. that is a part of my body.. and I want to know what is going on everywhere. Maybe after the show or before bed... you best believe at least twice a week. Its odd to think that most woman would not want to see themselves... you know make sure they are OK. Cyst, boils and tumors can be of no pain when they first start out as knots under the skins... and the best protection is prevention!

this question should be ask in health category...

but most female don't look at themselves in the mirror because there is nothing to look at...

unlike male its right there in your face.. you see it you play it..lol

females have better things to do than to look at their vagina and play around with it..
very few females do look at there vagina only because if they do find that there is something wrong with it like discomfort of some sort ... some just go straight to there female doctors..
some look only to find where they can put the tampons in..
if you really want to know ask a psychologist .. not any psychologist a psychologist of female vagina to really get all your questions answered.. OK
tried my very best..

To be honest, I do. Girls are just as curious as boys are. And for us it's not as accessible, and it makes checking on it somewhat of an embarrassing act because it's not as simple as just looking downwards. It is somewhat of a slight effor calling in the necessity for a hand mirror etc. And of course checking out your girly bits does seem like somewhat of an odd activity, so even if girls do check they probably wouldn't tell you. (Usually girls can sense if there are problems because it's a rather sensitive area). Hope this wasn't too much info.

I have looked at my vagina before, but now I go to a doc if I suspect a problem.

If there appears to be a problem of course you would look at it. If all is well leave to your boyfriend to do the looking etc

Your first mistake was watching that show, your second mistake was taking that show to the extreme and asking a question related to that show...

you can't exactly see much down there. that's what doctors are for. and your body usually tells you you have something wrong with PAIN, unless its like cancer, and even then it will tell you will pain eventually.
