yes ... the only sinless one was Jesus
read the book of 1John ... it explains this whole thing pretty well. We will still sin, but we are to confess & repent when we mess up instead of continuing to deliberately live in sin. In fact, continuing to deliberately live in sin would be an indication that a person did not have the Holy Spirit at all.

The simple answer is yes. As long as we are alive we will sin, but the Holy Spirit will help us to sin less and avoid sin. A we let the Holy Spirit guide us we will see our lives turn out for the better. We won't be perfect or have no troubles but he will help is through the hard times when we have no one to turn to. People may at times lets us down and even judge us, but the Holy Spirit will be like a father to us guiding us and when required disciplining us with his love. Jesus said "I will give you another comforter" and that's what the Holy Spirit is.

We are made of 3 parts. Spirit, Soul and Body.
When you become a Christian, your spirit is reborn. Before that your spirit was dead and heading for hell. Once your have accepted Jesus, you are a new creation and your spirit is reborn so that it can relate to God. Then you were given a measure of the Holy Spirit to indwell you. The Holy Spirit is the comfortor and counsellor and will guide you in all that you do in the christian life.
Your body will continue to grow old and one day it will pass away. Then your spirit leaves the mortal realm to be with God.
Your soul ie your emotions, thoughts is still unchanged. This is why when you are a new christian, you still tend to sin the old sins because your soul is still unrenewed. Part of the work of the Holy Spirit is to help renew your mind (soul). Romans 12:1 exhorts us to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. The renewing of the mind can only come through knowledge and meditation in God's word with the help of the counsellor (ie Holy Spirit)
1 John 1:9 exhorts believers to confess our sins to God regularly. When we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. As one's soul matures, slowly we will overcome certain sins and by God's grace begin to be more like Christ. This process is known as sanctification.
The short answer to your question is YES

Offcourse...The Holy Spirit will work on your conscience and warn you against sinning and cry out inside you not to do the sin...But at the same time, you have a free will, and if you free-willing chose to sin, the Holy Spirit will never take that freedom away from you.
That is why God and the apostles always warn against quenching and grieving the Holy Spirit.
God Bless you.

Yes you still have free will. But I believe if the Holy spirit is within you it will be very hard for you do certain things that are sinful.

Yes we can still sin, but that feeling you get when you know you did the wrong thing......that is the Holy Spirit telling you "you shouldn't have done that"

Yes of course - God gave us free will and choice, so we are responsible for our actions. The Holy Spirit is there to help you overcome the temptation but he won't 'stop' you like if you were robot. So, when you sin - you take the consequences, primarily you 'upset' the Holy Spirit. Sin makes it harder to communicate with him - but if you do sin, you ask him for forgiveness and then it's clean slate.

It is not a question if we can or can't, because we still do. The Holy Spirit is a guide who uses the Word of God to direct us. However, we still retain free will and in most cases do what we want. The Holy Spirit is at its most effective when we let go of what we want and surrender to what God wants for us.

Depend if you believe in the holy spirit. If you don't believe there is a higher being waiting to punish you for your sins then no matter what you do you are not sinning.

Romans 6 v 1-2 means If forgiveness is a good thing, why not give God more to forgive? If forgiveness is certain, do we have the freedom of sin as much as we want? Paul's forceful answer is Of course not! Such an attitude-deciding ahead of time to take advantage of God-shows that a person does not understand the seriousness of sin. God's forgiveness does not make sin less serious; His Son's death for sin shows us the dreadful seriousness of sin. Jesus paid with His life so we could be forgiven. The availability of God's mercy must not become an excuse for careless living and moral laxness.
"The devil made me do it." "I didn't do it; the sin within me did it." These sound like good excuses for sin, but we are responsible for our actions. We must never use sin or satan as an excuse for our own wrong behaviour because they are defeated enemies. With Christ's help, we can overcome sin. But we should never try to conquer sin by our own power. We should depend on Jesus Christ, who has conquered sin once and for all. If we look to Him for help, we will be able to resis the temptation to sin.
1 John 1 b 8 says: If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that His Word has no place in our hearts.
So yes, we are still prone to sin while we are here on earth, but we should not make that an excuse to sin. The nearer we walk with the Lord, the less we will sin!
