I start practicing English since last month. I want to speak fluently, elegantly & write effectively with correct English. As I am working in a trading company, I need to stay at office 9:00 am to 9:00pm. During my office time I am not always busy. In the morning I first update my incoming e-mail message & reply to our suppliers & concerned people according to the supervision of our Director. Second, I manage time to read silently a story & after lunch hear a songs by microphone with rapt attention. In the afternoon when I get some time I try to write the theme / summary of the story & song with simple English which I read & heard. After office hour I return home by bus. It takes 1.15 minutes to reach our home. In the bus I soliloquize (speak to myself) English on my read topics & memorise imprtant words from my diary. But I can not feel that my English is improving. Please advice me a new process. Please!

You could also try to find a tutor to meet with you in person, either before work or after work. You could try putting an ad up at a local college or university, where English is taught at an advanced level.

Good luck! You are doing great for only a month of studying.

Before you can jump into a13th grade reading level you will need to read and write English so I would start off with children's books because they help you establish content in your writing.
You also will memorize it because there are pictures as well. You cannot just start learning high grade standards when you haven't packed down the main principles one of which is learning the vowels and how to say them correctly.
