Yes, All Purpose Flour is plain flour. There are differences between All Purpose Flour and other flours like Bread Flour, Cake Flour, and Self-Rising Flour. Be sure to use the appropriate one.

Yes. All-purpose or plain flour is a blended wheat flour with an intermediate gluten (a combination of the proteins gliadin and glutenin, comprise about 80% of the protein contained in wheat seed) level, which is quite acceptable for most baking needs.

Yep. The only difference is the wording. But self rising flour is completely different as is cake flour and bread flour. Be sure you are buying the appropriate one because it will make all the difference in your baking. Hope I helped!

All Purpose Flour is presifted;and plain flour is not.One thing to note is during shipment of All Purpose Flour it gets condensed again;and you guess it you have to sift it again. Also plain flour volume is actually greater since there is less air present from no being sifted.

Pretty much. Self-rising flour is different, though.

No it is not. There is a difference even if it's slight. All purpose is pre-sifted and that make for a lighter fluffier batter.
