It concerns the kosher and halaal laws (food). According to the Quran, the kosher laws (which are very complex) are only for Jews and the halaal laws(not complex) are for muslims/gentiles.

So, if a Jew converts to Islam should he/she observe the kosher laws or halaal laws?

Thank You.

Peace :-) Veritas

If someone converts to Islam then it's mandetory for the person to follow islamic teachings in every aspect of his/her life because Islam is not just a religion but it is A WAY OF LIFE and you should follow it's guidelines to be a good muslim. So, you must leave all the previous religion's practises behind and observe islamic laws. So, if a Jew converts to Islam he/she should observe the halaal laws

Informed by this related laws, then things becomes pretty simple. He'd leave the kosher laws and take to halaal laws and sincve they tend to be similar, this will make his life easy.
If you are the concerned one, welcome to Islam where all things are made easier for those whose hope is in meeting their Lord with a welcoming face.

The Koran is a copied of the Jewish Bible, almost the same laws, the same prophets, the same things, Only Mohamed, change what he though it was convenient for him.
Remember, the Islam is a very young religion; who was born of Jewish and Christian tradition all mixed up!

People who convert fromone religion to another, especially if they do it multiple times, just go to show how ridiculous the entire concept of religion is - after all, how can you truley believe in two completely different things?
