The terrorists are spreading and we don't know who they are in our global melting pot. I understand laws that would enforce others protection, but I think it's time for some good old fashion gun slinging.
America is the only country left with it's citizens having the right to carry. Maybe the rest of the world should have that right as well?

If there are more guns, there will be even more killing.

Carrying a gun or having it at home doesn't make you safer - it makes live even more dangerous.

In my opinion the carrying of guns and other weapons should be entirely restricted to persons who have passed tests which secure that they are responsible enough to carry one - in every country, also the USA!!!

For me it is a shame that there is no international treaty that regulates that - and that banns the carrying of a weapon of whatever sort without having passed a test.

I don't think of it as a "right" - I think it is a threat to everyone who doesn't think that *weapons* are a means to minimize violence.

It's a contradiction in itself and I can't believe that so many people didn't seem to realize that a thing intended to *kill* - like a gun - is never something that will secure peace.

As I said - it is a contradiction.

Weapons (and war) will never bring peace and security.

No citizen should carry a gun! In an ideal world not even law enforcement officers would carry guns. How can you control that the citizen who is getting a gun will not use it for some other evil purpose.

A gun is a powerful, deadly tool. Humans are prone to every kind of mistake. If you combine these two, that could make for a dangerous combination. If, as you say, terrorism is spreading, allowing every citizen to easily buy a gun, would just make it easier for the so called "terrorists" (and not only them), to hurt other people.

It is said that an armed society is a polite society. There is a county in Texas where you are required to carry a gun. They have the lowest crime rate in the country. Yes we should all carry guns and other countries should have similar gun laws. Also, to all the people calling for the banning of guns, if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.

Do armed voters reduce lower back crime? easily, criminals are a lot more suitable terrified of an armed citizen than they're the regulation enforcement officials. in accordance to FBI documents. Firearms are used between 2 and three million circumstances per 3 hundred and sixty 5 days to steer sparkling of a violent crime. and those are purely the reported circumstances. So, it particularly is two-3 million fewer rapes, robberies or murders each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. "more suitable guns a lot less Crime" by skill of using John Lott - a nationwide, county by skill of using county learn that proves. the more suitable legally owned firearms in a community, the more suitable crime is decreased.

no every citizen should not be armed. think of the most careless person you know, do you want them being required to be armed? a person with a history of violent crime should also not be armed. every American has the right to be armed, till they remove the right from themselves, through committing a felony. if some one is not willing to treat the weapon with the proper respect, and learn how to handle it safely, i do not think they should have one.

America dose not have a right to Carry, we have a right to bare arms, witch is not the same thing, according to the courts.
the Swiss also can receive permits to carry a concealed weapon, there are likely to be others i don't know of.

They should eliminate guns all together...only to law enforcement and military...anyone else possessing a gun will face whatever penalties...which would also eliminate hunting, honestly what's the point with hunting? It's only a sport if you give the animals a gun to fire back.

all handguns should be banned throughout the world - you'd get 25 years hard labor if caught with one

shotguns, rifles - all good

protect house and family = great

being able to hide it in your pocket - very bad
