backslided christian is a term for a christian who is no longer walking in God's ways, obeying His commands.
Ah Huay, praise God for confessing your transgressions!! If you seek forgiveness sincerely, I am sure the ever merciful Lord will forgive you and remember your sins no more.
Ad for the church you are looking for, it all depends on the denomination...methodist, charismatic etc? There are no good or bad churches. It all depends on how comfortable you are when you attend their service. Ask yourself if you are able to settle down there, attend service faithfully, cell groups and take an active role by serving in ministries. Dont rush to choosing a church. Take your time and most importantly, do pray and ask God to reveal to you which church He wants you to attend.
