I didn't believe until I saw it with my own eyes.
After I was saved, I began attending a non-denominational church; several members can objectively PROVE they've been healed miraculously: one man had full-blown AIDS, as demonstrated by his HIV+ status, Kaposi's Sarcoma (and other signs), and very low WBC count. Following a short series of powerful faith healing prayers, he's completely HIV -, with no signs of AIDS at all. He's completely healed.
Another church member (one of our elders) developed leukemia two years ago. As he hovered near death, our church prayed for him. He was completely well about a month later. Despite numerous follow-up blood and bone marrow tests, there's no sign of his leukemia.
We also had a child from a nearby city brought to us who had some type of lung tumor -- proven by biopsy, x-ray and other imaging studies. The church fervently prayed for his healing and the next time he went to the doctor (I only know it was a very short time later), the tumor was completely gone.
About amputees, though -- that's a good question. I don't think anything is impossible for God, but there are limits on what we should ask for. My "gut" feeling is that only God can do this kind of miracle; certain Christians have been given the spiritual gift of "healing," which is quite different from "restoring."

What are you looking for? A miracle! Just kidding.
Faith healers DO exist and those that can heal through touch/prayer are enabled by God to do so. This is -- as the Bible says --- a "talent" that some (not all) are given.
The Bible says that with God, all things are possible. The word "possible" does not mean probable. Possible means that something COULD happen; not that it would or should happen.
For all we know, an amputee HAS regrown a limb, somewhere, at sometime, on this Earth. It just didn't happen on Sunday TV and it didn't make the 6:00 news.

you are thinking like a human and not god.
The body is a self healing machine which is always healing and curing, hence the renewal of cells. We continue healing until the day we die. Limbs do not grow back, no matter how healthy a person is.
A faith healer will simply speed up the healing process when someone has cancer. When we have cancer, the body is trying to heal it. But the cancer destroys cells quicker than they are healed/created. Giving energy to the healing intelligence in you will allow you to heal quicker than the cancer is eating away at you. No miracle!
You have decided, like any person would, to try and make sense of god with a human perspective. If god exists, why would he want to jump through our littl ehuman hoops to satisfy our egos?
great question BTW

Not as they are portrayed by the snake oil salesmen (aka TV evangelists). I believe that people may be cured through fasting and prayer as long as it is God's will.

Faith healers are charlatans. Pure crackpots stealing money away from people who don't know any better.

there are more healers making money out of your faith that makes some people gullible than there are any true healers.

There is absolutely nothing impossible to do by faith. When Jesus sent His 12 disciples to the world He told them to "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." So if they can raise the dead, then there is nothing believers cann't do in the name of Jesus.
