I lived in Iran for 2 years between 1976-1978. I lived in Shiraz, but got to visit Tehran, Isfahan, Bushere, Persepolis, Fez, etc. It was very interesting for me as a kid living in another culture. The revolution happened while I was there, and I found the whole experience fascinating. It is sad however that the country has gone down the path that it has. I would not mind visiting again someday, but only if Iran becomes more tolerant again like before the revolution.
