Hi, well, in my belief-religion woman aren't treated as though they are less then men. Woman and men are equal. Just they are different. There are some stuff a man can't do and some stuff a woman can't do- its just the way we are created. But it doesn't mean one is any less then the other. Both have its strong points and weaknesses.

Who has the right to tell man who they really are? This is not a question of logic but mere intellect and wisdom says it that it is only God the creator who can legislate on who we really are.
If God says the women are weaker, who are we to argue. if God says the men are made stronger and thereby tasked to be the body guard of the women, who is complaining, the one to be guided or the one that is guiding? Its not easy being a guard, yet we accept God's rule but the one we are to guide and guard are busy complaining.
If you are truly sincere, you know this absolutely that the women are weaker. The women are no different from the child who makes mistakes so often, while the men are more gifted though we meet somewhere, because God achieved a balance. Women are so exceptional in so many arears- though they are neglecting that. God honors the woman so much as a mother, as a wife... but due to that debility in wisdom, they are busy at attacking the men for the strength and wisdom. Perhaps there are times that the women are stronger and more gifted, there are always an exception to the rule. Irregardless, the rule must be as God ordained.
Accept this simple fact and the society will be better off.
You are happy at being used as advertisement slaves. Dressing in fashion for the pleasure of men- rather than see it this way, the pay is the focus. Your honor as mother is been destroyed with such right as having ability to ask for divorce. You are changing God's glory in the guise of woman rights and liberation. of course the good women never shy away from that Godly role assigned the women, but the west is set to destroy it all to imprison the women.
Inrtellect is a rare gift, and we use it for the benefit of humanity even at the detriment of out wants and dreams.

It is not actually that women are less beings to men....women were created from the rib of man, to be his companion and His partner through life, to bear His children. Both sexes have their role in the family unit. The Man is the Head of the household, the protector, the leader of His family, the Disciplinarian. The women is the caretaker, the child bearer, to serve her husband out of respect. To raise and care for her family and home.
I am not ignorant, obviously this does not work for everyone. Times have changed in the U.S I would suspect more than other countries.
But when people lived this way (and some still do) I personally think that the world was a better place..This is my opinion which I am allowed to have...so don't be getting your panties all tied up in a knot if you have a different opinion.

Yes - this is an unfair practice. Actually it was because that they were the weaker sex. Men created the rules, the religions etc. No women were involved in creating religions. So men did it the way they wanted.
But there are philosophies that clearly have identified and defined the women's role in a society and how they should be treated for their contribution to the human race.

I do not believe that the religion actually put women in this position. Rather, it is a sort of familial or social construct that will help us see the different roles of the female and male. There are many societies that practice matriachal dominance and concurrently a religious practice. I think that before you should make that judgment look at your resources. I have provided one such link. I hope this helps. In Judaism, for example, Wikipedia refers to the women as phrophetess and heroines. While in other religions such as Chrisitanity , Islam and Buddhism the women have important roles. In no instance have women been designated a "lesser" role than men.

Most people down in history referred to us as man (incl men and women). Even women are woMEN. Men had braun, at one time this was all important for hunting and fighting enemies. Now brains is right up there, actually ahead of braun in our society, so that puts us women right on top. Most of us have this nurturing thing that keeps us timid about the lieing, cheating and stealing to acquire power, but that's cool...WE HAVE THE POWER!!! The bible was writtten by men, but now we write books too, good books like Harry Potter, that make BIG bucks.

Because men created them, and they reflect the social structure within which they developped. By the way, I would like to point out that Jesus did not distinguish men and women, unfortunately for reasons of social manipulation the church chose to adopt the view of the Hebrew Heritage (Old Testament).

How sad when religions are supposed to enlighten. I suppose the degree of sex discrimination varies in different societies - Roman Catholics are 'lesser than men' in Latin American cultures than in the States; muslim women are generally 'lesser' in most Islamic countries not being able to worship together with the men etc. I think it's the long history of male dominance that led to its present-day situation. Seems wrong to me.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I have been to many many churches in my life and I have never NEVER seen women treated like they were less than men? Perhaps you were in a cult? If they treated women that way?
