I'm still in some doubt about Zeus and Thor, but for the rest i think all the other Gods are kinda fake.

How many Gods did you have to deny before finding your own religion?

Actually I read about many of them, still reading about others. I may never read all of them as there are so many in history. I have denied all but one. Which at last count was around 189. But then this One is a perfect fit so although I will still learn I think I am through shopping.

Peace Be With You,
Debra

The idea of God for myself is singular. with this in mind I suppose I've denied all others except the One. Now as to the nature of the One I haven't a clue. All the hoig poig of rituals and prayer I've been schooled in have mostly been chucked out, yet when I pray I still fall back on the conditioning I was reared upon. I personally don't care what other folk believe or if they believe, that is not my business. It is simple for me, worship God, expect nothing; live my life; the life is the reward.

It seems to me that there are approximately six billion different concepts of God out there at the moment.

I'd try denying them one by one, but it seems like a Pandora's Box to me.

So, the real question is this: do we lock Pandora's Box shut? Or do we open it wide open, let all of those gods fly away, and be satisfied with the 'hope' at the very bottom?

Richard Dawkins once said that most people today are deny all the gods ever thought up, but one. Atheists just go one god further.

And yet, atheism is still a belief system right?

Why deny the fruit of human imagination. Of course, if you're asking how many Gods are real that would be a zilcher..

I believe in & support the Goddess of Love.

She's used many different names throughout history, but she is the only one worth supporting.

THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, AND ALL THE OTHER DEMIGODS ARE HIS OWN MANIFESTATIONS.
EVEN IF YOU DECLINE WORSHIPPING ONE OR MORE DEMIGODS, IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE BECAUSE WHOEVER YOU WORSHIP IT'S ALL GOING TO BE ACCEPTED BY THE SUPREME GODHEAD.

I feel that they all exist, but I simply do not choose to worship all of them.
